Dow AgroSciences and Keygene N.V. Enter Trait Development Agreement

Companies to Work on Improved Tomato Yields

 

Agricultural company Dow AgroSciences LLC (Indianapolis) has entered into a trait development agreement with research and development firm Keygene N.V. (Wageningen, the Netherlands). The companies will work together to develop traits for improved yield in tomatoes.

Dow AgroSciences will grant KeyGene access to its EXZACTTM Precision Technology, its experience in targeted genome modification and research support for the program. Dow AgroSciences will have exclusive rights to commercialize the resulting traits and KeyGene will receive royalties based on sales of the improved tomato.

Dow AgroSciences. “By combining their knowledge with our EXZACT Precision Technology, we have an opportunity to bring significant innovation and value to the vegetable market.”
