New Report Shows Dutch Among Happiest European Citizens

Dutch are Highly Satisfied with Quality of Life

A new European Commission research study shows that the Dutch are among the most satisfied people in Europe about their quality of life. Recent surveys have also showed Dutch children at the top of similar polls.

Dutch citizens reported a high degree of satisfaction regarding their personal situations, jobs and homes. They also recorded positive scores on national concerns, such as the cost of living, healthcare and social security systems.  And while many Europeans expressed dissatisfaction with the way their home countries address poverty and inequalities, only citizens of Luxembourg and the Netherlands reported positive feelings in these areas.

The Netherlands ranked just below Sweden and Denmark in the social climate survey.
