Lisette Gieling

With extensive tax and supply chain planning experience, Lisette Gieling has the background to advise and assist U.S. companies in their overseas investments. As Area Director and head of the NFIA San Francisco office, Lisette Gieling helps companies identify opportunities and work through the challenges of launching, expanding or consolidating their pan-European operations with a strategic Netherlands location. Based in San Francisco, Lisette is responsible for covering the West region of the United States and the Northwestern states of Canada.

Prior to joining the NFIA, Ms. Gieling was a Senior Tax Manager at KPMG Meijburg & Co, a Dutch firm of tax advisors. Her expertise included advising on Netherlands and international tax planning, effective supply chain planning, business transformations reorganizations and mergers & acquisitions and tax ruling applications (APA/ATR), with a focus on U.S. companies. During her rotation with KPMG LLP in San Francisco, where she advised and assisted U.S multinationals on activities and opportunities in the Netherlands, she developed and maintained relationships with NFIA's San Francisco office.

Previous to KPMG, Ms. Gieling worked for Loyens & Loeff, a Dutch law firm, where she also experienced a rotation to their Swiss office.

Ms. Gieling began her career at ING Group as an international management trainee, both in the Netherlands and the UK.

Lisette Gieling holds Master of Science degrees in both fiscal economics (with distinction) and business economics from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
